Washing and care instructions for wool socks
One of the beneficial natural properties of wool is its dirt-repellent nature. Dirt that sticks to wool socks usually comes off easily, especially when dry, and often simply shaking and airing them is sufficient. However, wool socks that are in active use should also be washed from time to time, either by hand or in the washing machine.
Washing instructions for wool socks
A 30°C machine wash and short spin cycle are ideal for our wool socks. We recommend using a pH-neutral detergent (pH 7).
When washing by hand, the washing and rinsing water should be at the same temperature, below 40 degrees Celsius.
Large fluctuations in hot and cold water temperatures and vigorous rubbing can cause the wool to felt.
Wool socks should be shaped while damp and dried at a low temperature. We do not recommend drying wool socks at temperatures above 70 degrees Celsius, e.g., on a hot radiator, in a sauna, or too close to a fire.
Thanks to its breathability, wool dries fairly quickly even without high temperatures.
